Osasuna announces roster decisions ahead of 2026-27 season
The club will undergo a generational turnover, with nine players set to be promoted from Subiza and the under-19 team.
Club Atlético Osasuna will undergo a generational turnover in its affiliate, Osasuna Promesas, as the team prepares for the 2026-27 season in Segunda Federación. The roster will consist almost entirely of homegrown players.
Seven players will return next season under existing contracts: goalkeepers Rafa Fernández and Dimitrios Stamatakis; defenders Asier Larrión and Mikel Ansó; midfielders Ibai Arrasate and Bruno Pérez; and forward Asier Bonel. Four others have signed contract extensions: defenders Álex Jiménez and Unai Santos, and midfielders Mauro Echegoyen and Miguel Auría.
Twelve players will not return: defenders Anton Efermov, Diego Espejo, Raúl Chasco, Rufo Lucero and Mikel Serrano; midfielders Jon García, Martín Pedroarena and Manu Rico; and forwards Dani González, Ander Yoldi, Roberto Arroyo and Carlos Lumbreras. The club wishes them success in their future endeavors.
Midfielder Anai Morales and forward Asier Arocena will return to the club after loan spells at U.D. Logroñés and U.D. Multivera, respectively.
Nine players from the club’s second affiliate, Subiza, and the under-19 team will reinforce Osasuna Promesas: defenders Iker Lizaso, Ander Alonso and Kepa Sarango; midfielders Hodei Iriarte, Yoel Villamayor, Xabier Garin and Lucas Ibañez; and forwards Alykall Doumbia and Lucas Díaz. Four academy players will join the team for preseason: goalkeeper Mikel Bermejo and defenders Fernando García, Aitor Iguaz and Pablo Ciganda.
